While passports are often available within one week, the exact time may vary significantly depending on the office used and the workload that the consulate is facing at that particular time. Current visa wait times are available on the U.S. Department of State website.
If your visa has been approved, you will be informed how and when your passport and visa will be returned to you. Carefully review After the Interview on usvisas.state.gov to learn what to do when you receive your visa, entering the United States, paying the USCIS Immigrant Fee, and other important information.
If you were advised on the day of your interview that your application is successful, you should allow approximately 7 to 10 working days for your application to be processed. If additional information or documentation was required in your case, you must allow additional time.

If your visa application is approved, your passport and visa can be collected from the pickup location you selected when you scheduled for interview appointment. When your passport is available at selected location you will receive an email and an SMS that your passport is “Ready for Pick Up”.
If your visa application is approved, it will be processed and mailed back within two business days. This status includes: The visa issuance process (visa has been approved but not yet printed) Pending for additional documents/information.
How long will the processing take? For applications made at Consular Offices in Metro Manila, processing and releasing of passports take 12 working days for regular processing and 6 working days for expedited processing.
Upon approving the I-130 petition, USCIS will mail the petitioner an I-797 approval notice. The next step depends on two important criteria: (1) if the immigrant is in an Immediate Relative or Family Preference Category and (2) if the immigrant is inside or outside the United States.

Applicants just need to log on to https://tracker.passport.gov.ph or go back to the site where they applied their passport at https://www.passport.gov.ph and then click “Track Your Passport.” It will now be called “Unified Passport Tracking System.”

If you are eligible to use the form, you will usually receive your documents back within 10 working days.
Your immigrant petition must be approved by USCIS before your case can proceed to the National Visa Center.
“Issued” means that the visa was approved, printed, and placed in the passport. Once a visa has been issued, it can still be cancelled if some new and important fact comes to light.
In general, the decision is taken within 5 working days from the date of application . If, however, you are requested to submit additional documentation or come for an interview, the decision process may be longer.
Expedite a Renewal
Fill out your DS-82 application and collect your documents. Be sure to include the $60 expedite fee in addition to the normal application fee. See Passport Fees for more information. Clearly mark "EXPEDITE" on the outside of the envelope.

Please wait at least three business days following your visa interview to check on the status of your application. The system may not have updated the status of your application prior to that time, and thus the message you receive may not reflect the actual status of your application.
