The new fees will impact virtually all nonimmigrant visa categories, with fees for common visa applications such as tourist (B-1/B-2) and student visas (F, M, J) rising by 53% — from $160 to $245, along with Border Crossing Cards for people age 15 and up.
The application fee for the most common nonimmigrant visa types is $160. This includes tourist, business, student and exchange visas. Most petition-based visas, such as work and religious visas, are $190.
Routine B1/B2 Appointments
The U.S. Mission to India resumed processing of routine in-person B1/B2 visas appointments starting in September 2022. Appointments for 2022 and 2023 filled quickly but we continue to open appointments as capacity allows. Please note, these appointments are not placeholder appointments.

U.S. citizens carrying a tourist passport and in possession of an onward or return airline ticket do not require a visa to enter Thailand. The passport must have at least six months validity remaining to be allowed entry.

There is a 60-day Tourist Visa that can be extended for additional 30 days, and the 90-day Special Tourist Visa (STV), which allows two 90-day visa extensions at the local immigration office.
