Parents need to know that this mature Adult Swim anime series isn't intended for kids. It revolves around a high school student who becomes a serial killer. Since his victims are all criminals, he justifies the murders as a way of creating a crime-free world. Most of the deaths aren't too graphic, but they're frequent.
Death Note, given the strong questions it raises about the responsibility for life and death both, could make for a great discussion tool. The series is rated for older teens, and I agree that it's best suited for older high schoolers.
I would not recommend Death Note for anyone under 14.
Age Limitations
The god of death (Shinigami) must not hand the Death Note directly to a child under 6 years of age based on the human calendar.
As with any anime franchise, Death Note moderates itself, and it has some rather ordinary scenes or even funny ones to balance out the dark and chilling ones. But when this anime is on full throttle, some truly frightening things will take place, and the depths of human cruelty will be put on full display.
It isn't really violent either. Light the protagonist is a bit crazy after getting the book and he thinks he is in the right by doing this though he kills innocent lives if they try and get in his way, He gets stopped in the end by the police and its a really good show to watch with teens 12+.
I would not recommend Death Note for anyone under 14.
Literally babby's first "serious" anime. It's more dramatic than dark or unsettling. If you can handle say Hellgirl, Death Note is nothing by comparison, unless the deprivation portion effects you.

The story involves a notebook in which you can write a persons name and they die. Unlike the manga/anime, most deaths are very graphic and gory. However, the over-the-top/sudden impact of the gore makes it more humorous than frightening.
For a beginner who wants to try anime, I honestly think Demon slayer is a better recommendation than Death Note. Although I didn't like Demon slayer as much as Death Note. The only reason is Demon Slayer is straightforward in its story telling and a bit generic story too but the Visuals and sound are fantastic.
Parents need to know that Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba is an anime series that features lots of fantasy violence, blood, and scary looking demonic creatures. The dead and possessed include young children, and characters are seen eating human flesh.
No. One piece is more towards teens to adults. One of the main characters see their mom get shot in the face. There is a ton of violent content and mature themes.
There's a fair bit of animated violence, plus scenes that show children in peril, so it's a movie for anime fans, older children and teenagers, particularly those who can cope with fast-moving subtitles.
Reasonably, Naruto as a entire product should be viewed by those 12 and older. The show is categorized as a Shonen and these series are typically meant for people 13 and up.
Attack On Titan has now surpassed Death Note to become the most popular anime on MyAnimeList (MAL). With a user rating of 8.52/10, Attack On Titan now stands at the top in the 'Most Popular' category in MAL.
Death Note is far better than Naruto could ever be. Death Note is a series that ran in Shonen Jump from December 2003 to May 2006. An anime adaption was created in Japan from 2006-2007, than it hit American shores and the rest is history. From here we have light novels, 3 movies and a boat load of fan related material.
It wasn't "deleted", it was just something the anime studio invented specifically for the first Relight movie. It was never in the original story, so it's not like it was something they left out.
See below for the exact times and descriptions of the 6 jump scares in Death Note, which has a jump scare rating of 1.5. Jump Scare Rating: Ryuk's early appearances provide some light jump scares however there is nothing particularly scary after the first half hour.
Parents need to know that Attack on Titan is a violent and brutal entry in the anime genre not suited for children, tweens, or some younger teenagers.
It's pretty good for 11+ and I think
