IES Officer
The IES(Indian Engineering Service) is the most prestigious, reputed and one of the highest paying jobs in India like an IAS and IPS. IES officer gets power in the technical field.
After the passing of the Indian Councils Act, 1861 by the British government the Indian Imperial Police was formed 1861. IAS is considered the topmost position among all the administrative services. IPS is in the second rank after IAS.
Judges have Judicial powers and IAS have executive powers. But a Judge may summon an executive officer such as IAS/IPS in the court, punish him, order him to do/not to do certain things. Reverse is not possible as IAS/IPS can't exercise any power on Judges.
IFS officers are powerful in their own right, though they do not have the broad administrative powers that an IAS or IPS officer would have inside the country. Notwithstanding this, they shape India's foreign policy and can wield a lot of influence on other departments related to their work.
IAS is preferred choice by above 95 % of the candidates (in their DAF) as compared to IPS or IFS. From a monetary aspect, Chartered accountants earn more than IAS officers. The salary of an IAS officer is 60k to 70k. But, the salary of a CA rises as per his experience from 2 lakh to 5 lakh per month. Apart from salary, IAS officers get respect and power that motivate them to serve the nation.
If we compare the both the course then IAS has good scope in the future then IITian. I t will give you the power in the administrative department of the government of India. An IAS is a appointed by the president to the state government of a state.
If both are honestly working in government job then salary wise IAS is better placed as promotions are faster for him. However, if doctors don't take private practicing allowance from government (if rules permit) then in that case a lot of extra money doctors can earn alongwith salary in comparision to IAS.
The IAS is the most preferred career in india . No other career or job can offer you the same power perks and status and job satisfaction as the IAS including the tremendous opportunity offered to contribute positively to the society.
The first reason is that the DGP of the state is the more powerful police officer of the state, but he has to inform the Home Secretary who can be an IAS officer. Another reason is that all heads of central police, such as CBI, BSF, CRPF, report to IAS secretaries, who are often junior to IAS.
